2019 CCRE Energy Leaders Roundtable Hockley Valley, Ontario

Annual Energy Leaders Roundtable-Hockley Valley, 2019

The Council for Clean and Reliable Energy and its partners welcomed leaders in the energy sector to the 2019 CCRE Energy Leaders Roundtable held in Hockley Valley, Ontario. The Roundtable built on its 7-year success by delivering several keynote addresses and expert panels introduced by brief presentations at the beginning of each session organized around a variety of timely and important topics.

We were pleased to have the Hon. Rod Phillips, Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, Hal Kvisle, Chairman, Finning International and ARC Resources, Michael Rencheck, President and CEO, Bruce Power, and Greg Lyle, President, Innovative Research Group, deliver keynote addresses.

The keynote addresses and presentations included the following sessions:

  • The Role of Nuclear Power and Innovation in Nuclear Energy to Secure Ontario and Canada’s Low Carbon Future
  • Meeting the Long-Term, Electricity Supply Challenge
  • Role of Innovation: Balancing Climate and Energy Policy
  • CEO Perspective: Energy Sector Challenges, Technological Innovation and Response
  • Pipeline Infrastructure and 21st Century Nation Building
  • Promises, Politics, and Polls
  • Politics and the Energy Sector

The Council is a group of volunteers who have an interest in promoting open debate about energy issues. We do not represent a particular interest group and attempt to bring together a broad range of stakeholders who share an interest in promoting good governance and public policy for Canada’s energy sector.
